Celeb Inspired : Beyonce Makeup

Hi everyone, so this is a Beyonce inspired makeup look. This look is from her video "Why Don't You Love Me". It's just the makeup from the crying scene when she's on the phone in the bathroom. When I seen the video I fell in love with the makeup...minus the mascara streaks! haha! So I decided to recreate it.

Now Beyonces makeup is just fine if you're in a music video or well if you're Beyonce fullstop...but I decided to recreate a more wearable look while still keeping the original idea of the makeup. Beyonces liner is very thick and very dramatic, so I make the liner in my version thinner and not as wide at the other part of the eye.

The Beautiful Beyonce

My version

So if you want to see the products I used to create this look and see more pics just click read more :)

Products used:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Shadows in the colours:
Espresso
Naked Lunch
Twinks
White Frost
NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk"
MAC Blacktrack Fluid Liner
Gosh eyeshadow "Navy Blue"
Duo Lash Adhesive
Eyelashes

Brushes:
MAC 266 Brush or any small angled brush
MAC 217 Brush or any fluffy blending brush
Nars #14 crease brush or any small round top crease brush

To start prime your eye all over the lid and up to the brow bone, don't forget under the lash line also. This is especially important in this look because Beyonce has a lot of shadow underneath. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Fill in your brows using a small angled brush. I used a MAC 266 brush and MAC Espresso eyeshadow. This will give a very dark brow so use a light hand if you don't like your brows very dark. If you want a lighter brow I would suggest MAC Omega or Naked/Buck from the Naked Palette.

Firstly apply MAC Naked Lunch across the lid and very lightly under the brown bone. Beyonce doesn't seem to have much highlighter under her brow so we will keep this highlighting very soft. I used  MAC 217 brush for this but any fluffy brush will do.

Then take a small round top creases brush and the colour Twinks from MAC and run this along your crease...the continue it along the outer 1/3 of your eye and start to flick it up towards your eyebrow. Go back and blend this out with a 217 brush so there is no hard lines.

Now it's time for liner. Beyonce has a very heavy and dramatic liner in her video but I kept mine more subtle. I used MAC Blacktrack Fluidline on a 266 brush.Start out with a small line, you can always build on it. Also run Blacktrack along your waterline.

Beyonce has a dark blue/navy eyeshadow under her lashes. The perfect colour for this would be Contrast by MAC but I don't have this colour so I used an eyeshdow by Gosh in the colour Navy Blue.

For the line of of white she has at the edge of her eye I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to create a white line then I went over it with White Frost by MAC.

Next step is lashes so put some Duo glue along the lashes of your choice, I chose lashes from Pennys.

Beyonces lip colour seems to be a semi matte nude/flesh colour so I chose Thalia by NYX.

I hope you enjoyed this post I absolutely loved recreating this look and its defiantly my favourite look at the moment for nights out!

xoxo
